PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The InvesTech (Investment Services & Technology) Associate role is an entry level pathway into our firm for graduating Bachelor's students who are interested in the variety of career opportunities available in operations and technology in the investment management industry. This program will help the InvesTech Associates gain insight into our industry, firm and culture, as well as knowledge of the many different business divisions that support our investment functions. The team's mission is to drive Wellington's innovation and operational edge to exceed the investment and service expectations for our clients and business partners worldwide. We accomplish this by bringing technology and operations together to deliver better, more efficient outcomes.

You will be invited to join the Investment20/20 trainee programme in your first year which will provide opportunities to meet and network with over 300 trainees across the industry and participate in socials and insight events.

POSITIONS
We have a number of open positions across our technology and investment operations sub-departments. We encourage you to apply if you have a keen interest in tech/operations and investment management and want to be part of a collaborative, diverse and innovative team!

The Technology department is responsible for designing, building, testing, and supporting our robust technology suite. This group works in partnership with functions across the firm to solve complex business problems with technology.

The Infrastructure Design department comprises of Portfolio Data and Analytics, Portfolio Integrity and Derivatives Platform Teams. The Portfolio Data and Analytics team's core responsibilities are to oversee the quality of market, security and derivatives data used in the investment process, the integrity of performance returns, attribution, security setup, security reference data management,and benchmarks. The Portfolio Integrity team's objective is to promote portfolio accuracy, reduce operational risk, and increase efficiency and scalability - working across all investment teams. The Derivatives Platform seeks to address risks, gaps, and deficiencies throughout the derivatives life cycle to meet current and future investment, client, and regulatory demands.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
If you are a graduate from any subject background with a passion to develop a career in investment management and have the following skills and attributes, we would like to hear from you:
  • Be graduating or leaving school in summer 2023 and be available to start July 2023
  • Be able to demonstrate an interest in technology and/or operations and the investment management industry
  • Proactive and enthusiastic with a positive customer service approach
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter and have the humility and willingness to learn from, and collaborate with, their colleagues
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and building cross-team relationships
  • Have the ability to work independently and flexibly, in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, where priorities change frequently
