Key objectives critical to success:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced financial professional to support an Asia-based financial-services group with an integrated global network spanning over 30 countries on a range of trading and investment banking activities. The Finance department is critical to the firm's markets and banking operations, actively contributing to the firm achieving its position as a market leader in the space.

The role is based in London at offices location at One Angel Lane
  • Preparation, analysis and presentation of predominantly IFRS / UK and US GAAP monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for stakeholders (business and senior management).
  • Preparation and analysis of financial statements, providing advice on technical accounting and disclosures and notes requirements.
  • Ensure accounting policies are up-to-date and consistent with external reporting requirements.
  • Assess the impact of latest accounting standards and coordinate with the CR&C team required changes to reporting following updated standards and regulatory developments.
  • Liaise with other Finance colleagues to resolve booking issues and provide advice relating to financial products and transactions.
  • Contribute to the development of procedures in the department.
  • Liaise with internal and external audits, responding to queries.
  • Maintain systems and records to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to automate processes and to drive process improvements.
  • Support departmental projects and initiatives.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services, including providing financial information to the business/senior management.
  • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
  • Experience of process automation, driving process efficiencies.
  • Honest and ethical conduct, including the ethical handling of actual or apparent conflicts of interest.
  • Good organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and a team player.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
