As a Barclay's Regulatory Development Lead, you'll be supporting CB (Corporate Banking) for both the European and New York businesses. The role holder will support CB to meet regulatory compliance risk obligations and commitments through horizon scanning and leading and managing the CB impact assessments across European jurisdictions and the US. You will own detailed impact assessments of regulations that impact CB end-to-end and provide regulatory thought leadership for CB within Barclays Europe.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
• Being responsible for regulatory horizon scanning and impact assessment process. This responsibility will span across 10 jurisdictions (9 in Europe and the US)
• Managing your own a portfolio of complex regulations and perform impact assessments for these regulations
• Being responsible for delivering technical regulatory thought leadership and demonstrate persuasion to get buy-in and delivery of strategic regulatory initiatives
• Having responsibility for leading and assisting with team projects in regards to Regulatory Baselining initiatives across all juristictions
• Developing commercial and technical understanding of Transaction Banking and Wholesale Lending products and the industry sectors the business operates globally
• Developing regulatory subject matter specialism in matters related to Europe and the US. regulatory and policy landscape
• Being the face off to relevant functions across the Business to check, challenge and ensure regulatory obligations are being met within the organization
• Guiding and maintaining exceptional stakeholder relationships across the Business, Group and BBPLC in multiple jurisdictions

What we're looking for:
• Solid technical understanding of a breadth of regulatory subject matter for Transaction Banking, Wholesale Lending and UK and International CB
• Some commercial/technical understanding of Transaction Banking & Wholesale Lending products/business activity across various jurisdictions
• Prior experience in regulatory/technical analysis of requirements or of control requirements
• Excellent experience in building relationships across a wide range of technical/non-technical stakeholders
