What you'll do

We're looking for someone with strong leadership capabilities, coupled with good research skills and insight generation. You'll demonstrate prior experience in business planning, developing strategic recommendations and influencing all strategic change. Additionally, we'll look to you to have a delivery track record working collegiately in and across a large diverse organisation, with the ability to establish partnerships across all parts of the business, ideally with a global footprint.
You'll have a good understanding of emerging trends in the external banking technology domain alongside excellent knowledge of the complex changing technology landscape, including tools and processes, current and future.
You'll also need:
- This is an opportunity for a driven Strategy Manager to create, enhance and influence, clear technology strategies that reflect external market developments
- You'll provide a vital contribution to the strategic technology development of individual domains, with the ultimate goal of producing excellent customer outcomes
- Hone your leadership capabilities as you influence our technology leaders to think long term and help our technology domains have a clear strategy aligned to our business
What you'll do
In this key role, you'll manage the strategy of your function and deliver its product backlog, producing customer value in a continuous, iterative fashion. You'll work with architects, engineers, and technology professionals in a credible way to ensure the strategy is designed and implemented.
You'll also be:
- Facilitating and providing key inputs to the development of the strategy, and delivering domain specific technology strategies to drive customer outcomes
- Helping to agitate decision making, including with executive and other senior technology and business stakeholders by developing and providing data driven insights
- Leading the understanding and application of the overall strategy of the function, within and across domains
- Developing, documenting and agreeing the comprehensive technology strategic plan which pushes forward the domains to achieve the business vision
- Providing high quality executive briefings on external perspectives, including industry trends and competitor activity

- Knowledge and experience of architecture, investment and working in an Agile team
- The ability to solve complex issues and articulate clear action based outcomes
