The Role: Biological Markets Analyst, Crop Science

Responsibilities
  • The market analyst will work closely with the regional analyst teams to develop a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving global market for biological products (biocontrol agents, biostimulants and biofertilizers), an ability to evaluate current status, key trends and growth drivers and w rite authoritative, impactful analysis which gives our clients unique insight.
  • You will evaluate proprietary and external data sources, create relevant market datasets, and develop models and other analytical tools to evaluate specific markets in order to analyse and comment on trends, drivers and forecasts for the global biologicals market and producing analysis reports and topic-based bulletins on the corporate strategy, operational and financial status of agrochemical, biological and seed companies, as well as the key regional, crop and product markets.
  • You will interact closely with colleagues in the wider Crop Science Group to create authoritative, original content which is integrated across our insights, market data and analysis and consulting teams and which informs and supports our clients in their business planning activities.
  • In this role, you will also support ad-hoc projects and contribute to the assessment and development of the crop science portfolio pipeline and launch of new products and enhancements.
What We're Looking For:
  • You will have a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent with 3+ years of industry experience and the enthusiasm, motivation and interest in learning new publishing and business skills.
  • We are seeking candidates with some knowledge of the agribusiness sector and, ideally, some experience of producing market analysis in a relevant role.
  • You will have excellent written as well as verbal communication skills and be comfortable in writing about complex or technical information in a structured, interesting way and ability to uncover unique insights. Some experience in data management and statistical techniques will be advantageous.
  • We are looking for candidates with excellent organizational skills including time management, great attention to detail and the ability to plan and deliver products to meet deadlines.
  • Our analysts work in a collaborative and team oriented approach
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to maintain a wide network of contacts.
