The Technical Search Team is the primary point of contact for all technical queries relating to SEO, forming a key part of multi-disciplinary client portfolio teams delivering SEO campaigns to groups of clients. The team also works to provide SEO input to website build projects, working alongside UX, design and development teams.
Job Description
To lead or assist in the management and maintenance of a portfolio of clients, support the SEO campaigns by providing deliverables as requested for these clients and account management teams. You are proactively looking for opportunities, with a problem-solve mindset to discover and tackle issues without being told to do so.
To work on all technical aspects of SEO client accounts, working closely with multi-disciplinary SEO campaign teams to formulate, communicate and support the implementation of SEO strategy. Coach and develop more junior members of the team, and support and assist in the management and maintenance of a portfolio of clients.

Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in a similar role with technical SEO as a key area of focus
- Knowledge and experience of technical SEO, including: on-page markup, URL structure & site architecture, redirect strategies, structured mark-up such as Schema.org, XML Sitemaps, local, mobile, and search engine algorithms
- Familiarity with Search Engine Webmaster Tools, analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.) and website crawling tools such as Screaming Frog / DeepCrawl / Botify / OnCrawl
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Some experience with scripting
- Strong Excel skills
Desirable
- Experience working for big brands on complicated SEO campaigns
- Experience working on multi-market SEO accounts
- Experience in an agency environment, working directly with clients as the technical contact on accounts
- Experience with building reports and other dashboards in Google Data Studio
- Line management experience
- Experience with technical SEO for non-Google search engines (e.g. Yandex/Baidu etc.)
- Experience in developing technical business cases for SEO
- Experience creating case studies to demonstrate success of technical SEO implementation
- Practical experience with Python and use of APIs, in particular around automation
- Degree level qualification or equivalent in computer science, web development or similar, or previous hands-on experience in web development is a strong plus
- An understanding of website design and build methodologies (e.g. agile/waterfall), experience at working SEO into the User Experience/Design stage of website builds, familiarity with Jira
