INTRODUCTION

The London Technology Club is a Mayfair-based exclusive community that connects private capital with VCs and institutional investors to fund growth - stage technology companies. The club is united by technology investing, having over 75+ HNWIs, 15+ Venture Capital firm partners and leading institutions such as UBS, Barclays, IG Group and LGT as members. In early 2023 we reached the milestone of 101 members. Since inception in 2018, we have hosted over 120 events with speakers from Prime Ministers to supermodels, billionaires to tech disruptors.

ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and organised self-starter to be a part of the LTC Investment Division and responsible for managing operations for LTC Group and LTC Pledge segregated portfolio funds.

Playing a crucial part in a small team, the person will be part of a strong network of technology pioneers and investors as well as significant responsibility in a fast-growing fund and investment ecosystem. The role is central to managing operations overseeing our service partners across investor KYC / AML and portfolio monitoring/ reporting.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in overseeing finance/operations within a venture capital, private equity or family office environment, who will share our enthusiasm for supporting ambitious tech investors & companies and thrive in a fast-paced, first-class work culture

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
  • Oversee the effective control of processing, recording and settlements of investments
  • Lead strategic relationships with suppliers providing fund management services
  • Ensuring the audit of deal execution documentation - countersigned subscription documents, share certificates. Liaising with the investment team, legal team and investee companies/ VCs
  • Overseeing the team responsible for transactions for all investment types (funds and direct investments), subscriptions/ redemptions, capital calls, NAV allocations and distributions
  • Supervising due diligence of invoices, coordinating outbound and inbound wire transfers, reporting on invoices and transfers outstanding
  • Managing the outsourcing of invoicing from subscription documents and monitoring associated finance, liaising with the VC finance teams to ensure monitoring of post-investment transactions
  • Tracking performance of fund portfolio companies and investments. Working with partner VCs to ensure portfolio performance and internal NAV calculations are kept up to date
  • Supporting Auditors (internal and external), providing information for the quarterly NAV calculations and other portfolio related questions/ requests
  • Managing the Compliance Officer responsible for investor onboarding, ensuring investor KYC / AML documents requested by partner bank / directors are fulfilled, managing the workflow between investors and the requesters
  • Managing LTC Group operations - cooperating with accounting team regarding payments reconciliation & settlement, fund management fees, legal expenses and other costs related to LTC Group.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Business administration / finance background / education
  • Ideal role for a candidate looking to apply their skills to a more hands on venture capital role
  • Previous experience in the fields of venture capital - preferably from within a finance, operations or fund admin capacity
  • Highly organised and used to working with project management tools and portfolio management platforms
  • Demonstrated passion and interest in venture capital particularly technology
  • Excellent problem solving and analytic ability
  • Proven quantitative and technical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player, who can contribute to building a positive team spirit, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others; works with integrity and ethically, upholds club values
  • Ability to perform under pressure, amid tight deadlines; can effectively prioritize and plan
  • Work permit for the UK
  • We are flexible in terms of numbers of days a week in the role and location. Our office is based in Mayfair, London and the ideal candidate would work from there however we are after the right candidate and are therefore flexible.
