About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Sanctions Lead Business Execution Consultant.

This Sanctions Lead Business Execution Consultant will specifically be focused on EMEA Sanctions and will report to the Corporate Investment Banking Financial Crime Sanctions Senior Manager. This position interacts with senior leadership and major stakeholders to gather and communicate progress against strategic EMEA sanctions projects and objectives for the program. This position is responsible for the implementation of the CIB Financial Crime Sanctions program and for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and applicable corporate policies.

In this role, you will:
  • Reviewing and approving business procedures, processes and controls relating to sanctions policies and standards to ensure applicable corporate policies and EMEA standards are appropriately implemented and aligned.
  • Evaluating business sanctions needs, assessing processes and control risks and devising system solutions to enhance compliance capabilities.
  • Assisting CIB FC in executing and tracking progress to EMEA sanctions program enhancements.
  • Providing advice and subject matter expert guidance to CIB and Commercial Banking (CB) businesses on EMEA sanctions issues and escalations.
  • Delivering targeted EMEA sanctions training and assisting in raising EMEA sanctions awareness across CIB and CB businesses.
  • Reviewing and assessing business' major requirement evaluations in the Shared Risk Platform (SHRP).
  • Assisting the CIB FC Sanctions Senior Manager with the overall management of the CIB FC Sanctions program.
  • Staying current on EMEA sanctions-related regulations, EU Directives and UNSCRs.
  • Working on special projects and other assignments, such as in-region screening metrics, as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • Treasury /EU compliance experience either in government or private industry, or a combination of both.
  • Familiarity with the business operations of a large bank and/or broker dealer.
  • Product and services knowledge of a large bank and/or broker dealer.
  • LLB preferred.
  • Well-organized and able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision; great attention to detail; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and bring tasks to completion within established timeframes.
  • Articulate, poised and comfortable in direct interaction with business clients and senior management.
  • Sound analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
