Job Purpose Statement

Where you'll fit in & what our team goals are....

The UK Products team is responsible for managing the development and management of the UK pooled fund range across the entire product lifecycle.

The range currently includes over 100 UK OEIC and UK pension funds. This role primarily involves:

- Being the product lead in the development of new products from the idea stage to launch.

- Being pro-active in the generation of new product ideas by engaging with others around the firm.

- Managing the implementation of changes to existing products, including mergers and closures of funds, to ensure timely delivery and compliance with internal and external requirements.

- Engagement with stakeholders across the firm to facilitate good outcomes.

Role Responsibilities

How you'll spend your time....

New Product Development:
  • Be the Product Lead in the research, development and launch of new products for the UK market.
  • Preparation of product ideas and business cases and presentation to Product committees and boards.
  • Seeking the required seed investments for new product launches.
  • Ensuring product design meets the needs of defined target markets and segments.
  • Leading launch project working groups; managing key stakeholders and their expectations. Delivering against agreed development budgets.
  • Maintaining product specifications; project run books; issues and action logs.
  • Conducting post-launch product reviews and communicating findings to Product committees.
Product Change:
  • Manage assigned product change initiatives across the product lifecycle.
  • new share class launches; changes to product features, such as fees and charges; investment objectives and policies.
  • Addressing regulatory change that impacts product design and features.
  • Support the execution of larger product changes, e.g., fund closures and mergers
  • Presentation of Product Change Approval papers to committees and boards


Key Capabilities

To be successful in this role you will have....
  • Interest in asset management; curiosity to develop better solutions for a variety of client types.
  • Communication: the ability to summarise key points; ideas and data in a variety of contexts
  • Leadership and Influencing skills: to present recommendations with conviction in a persuasive manner; ability to build consensus and make effective decisions.
  • Thorough understanding of the product lifecycle, mindful of good customer outcomes
  • Team skills and the ability to engage colleagues in the team and across the business
  • Well organised; able to plan and meet deadlines whilst managing risks.
  • Numerate and a capable user of Excel


Desired Capabilities
