Job Summary
The role of Corporate Execution Sales requires a broad knowledge of financial markets products (FX, FXO, MM deposits, Rates, Commodities, TBFX) and systems (S2BX, Blade, Razor, Cortex, SC Markets). The primary duty will be to execute client trades across all product and asset classes, drive the bank's digital ambitions, develop own Corporate Client portfolio meeting annual PnL targets and contributing to the overall Corporate Sales strategy
Responsibilities
Responsible - The activities/tasks of the role will include -
  • leading on all aspects of trade execution for the team, across multiple products and asset classes
  • growing and developing own client portfolio across all asset classes targeting eventual 5-7mio PnL with focus on team strategic objectives including automated payment linked FX, SRLs & financing solutions, cross-border growth, commodities growth and other initiatives as agreed annually
  • drive the banks digital strategy including automation of client flow business where possible, leading new digital initiatives including the increased automation of our trade execution, growth in our TBFX and payment linked FX franchise and achieving coalition market share targets
  • contributing to the overall European corporate sales strategy and objectives in line with goals communicated annually
  • supporting senior members of the team in their client coverage: helping with all aspects of support from analysis of flows, preparing presentations, developing trade ideas and sharing knowledge
Accountable - the individual will report directly to the head of Corporate Execution, Europe and will have individual targets and responsibilities in line with annually agreed objectives. The role requires strict adherence to the bank's policies with particular attention to timely & accurate booking of trades.
Informed - the role holder is expected to be involved in many activities that support the broader corporate sales team including digitisation of flows, new client acquisition and revenue growth, strategic in initiatives that will be outlined each year. The role requires a broad knowledge of products and systems with significant focus on training and developments. A clear development of this knowledge is essential in successful progress of the role holder.
Strategy
  • Responsibility for "centre of excellence" for execution - booking multi-products, multiple asset classes across different bank systems.
  • Champion digitization, process efficiencies and optimal client coverage model to enhance the bank's corporate flow business. Drive flows and volumes to digital channels - selling bank platforms, optimizing volumes, driving bank and client efficiencies across all products
  • Support Macro Sales & senior colleagues with regards to execution and trade capture of more complex corporate client flows where required
  • Contribute to team initiatives: MM diversification / TBFX growth / development of automated commodity solutions / creating content material / financing transactions / ESG solutions / cross border growth / strategic trade opportunities
  • Work with Relationship Managers and Originate new clients to market and sell Financial Market products with aim of building own client portfolio and developing the Bank's relationship with CES clients through marketing and introduce various Financial Market products like FX, Options, Rates and Money Market products and active engagement on new hedging products, cross border risk management solutions, structured rate loans, commodity hedging solutions, with responsibility for achieving appropriate revenue targets as agreed with line manager
  • To assist senior colleagues to work with origination clients in conjunction with Relationship Managers, and other colleagues in Sales, Research and Trading to develop a thorough understanding of each prospective client's business needs. Establish an engagement strategy designed to meet those needs
  • Diligent coverage of the daily flow business meeting all required standards and procedures
  • Work with senior colleagues to help drive the client engagement for RWA optimisation to improve the overall FM product RoRWA
  • Training: learn range of products: FX, FXO, Rates, Commodities, Deposits, Credit through a range of on desk shadow training and "classroom" led background training on products and systems.
Business
  • Provide seamless backup for colleagues when they are unavailable to deal with their own clients.
  • Facilitate deal origination
  • Actively engage FM Structuring & Analytics teams to facilitate deeper client engagement and bepoke client risk solutions
Processes
  • The role will involve liaising with clients and executing trades and orders in line with SCB's policy and procedures consistent with all FM Sales staff globally including Order Handling , Record Keeping and Best Execution
  • Managing the booking and capture of manual TBFX within region. Escalating issues to the appropriate teams/marketers when appropriate. Protect the bank and our clients by covering risk in an efficient and timely manner in line with recently drafted process from FM BORM
  • Support Corporate Sales teams by monitoring the orderbook, checking expiries, being alert to trade RFQs across all channels.
  • Helping to lead the money market initiative - quoting & booking trades, identifying digitization opportunities and diversifying the bank's depositor client base
  • Strive to learn the bank's booking systems to become an execution expert. In addition, support senior/macro colleagues in calculating XVA/ROE on long-dated derivatives
  • Knowledge of sales processes, tools, and techniques; ability to prepare and present formal recommendations for how the organization can meet the customer's needs
  • Monitor the utilization of each client's trading limits with SCB, obtain specific approval for any excess likely to arise as a result of a particular transaction
  • Continued provision of best in class service to help build the financial markets relationship.
  • Helping to contribute to the quality of the global financial markets relationship for key clients where appropriate.
  • Emphasis on proactive engagement with clients, and timely delivery of relevant market intelligence. Always respond to requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Take ownership of all aspects of service delivery to the client within financial markets, including support functions such as operations.
  • Contribute to Financial Market themes and key initiatives and close alignment with the risk books
