Calling all UX unicorns! We are seeking a UX Engineer to join our growing UX organisation. If you have UX design *AND* full-stack development skills then this is the role for you.

You'll be helping to deliver exceptional, intuitive, and joined-up experiences for Risk Management, Compliance, Finance and HR systems, which are used by hundreds of thousands of Citi employees every day.

You will join the elite GFT Central UX team, which has responsibility for leading UX across the organisation - driving standards, enabling, empowering and educating UX staff, and stepping into hands-on strategic projects as needed.

The central team takes the lead on standards, best practices and tooling for the organisation, and you will have a role in shaping and developing these standards, as well as reaching out into global UX and development teams to give expert support and guidance on standards, practices and tools.

The team also has capacity to step into high-profile projects, partnering with product, business and technology to understand the problem space, using co-creation and workshops to formulate solutions, and then creating intuitive and delightful UX designs that create best-in-class experiences for our clients.

As a UX engineer, you will use your experience and skills to rapidly create designs and develop software that is of the highest standard - based on solid foundations of research, thoughtfully designed, and using best practices and organisational design standards.

You will have the opportunity to design and develop data visualizations, UI components, micro-interactions, animations, and other UI elements that will help Citi to build intuitive and delightful products.

Responsibilities
  • Rapidly develop functional prototypes, POCs, user flows, design assets, hi-fidelity mock-ups and lightweight design specifications Work with product and UX research teams to help explore new opportunities
  • Participate in workshops and co-creation session on ideation and concept development
  • Design and build data visualizations, micro-interactions, animations and transitions
  • Design user experiences that are intuitive and elegant, in-line with current trends and concepts, and aligned to our design system and standards, as well as wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mock-ups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
  • Design and build intranet sites and productivity tools/plugins for designers
  • Provide development teams with high quality assets, handover and ongoing guidance to ensure they have all they need to implement designs
Required Skills, Experience and Competencies
  • Previous experience in full-stack HTML5 development, using latest technologies and libraries
  • Strong aptitude for UX Design, ideally having worked in a UX role
  • Excellent skills in a professional UX design tool e.g. Figma, Sketch, Invision, AdobeXD
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, innovative ideas and can-do attitude
  • Significant experience on complex, enterprise-scale or consumer projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience using or building a design system
  • Ability to portray ideas and concepts, quickly and clearly via sketching
  • At least one formal UX Qualification
Desirable Skills, Experience and Competencies:
  • Keen interest in, or knowledge of, banking or finance
  • Participation in external UX groups or communities
