Who we are looking for
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our Collective Operations Team at Officer level. You will be responsible for supporting and managing the CIS placement, Settlement and administration of collective assets for the client.
Why this role is important to us
Collective Operations (COPS) are responsible for ensuring all CIS orders generated from fund managers (both clients internal range of funds and some external clients), are successfully placed in a timely and accurate basis, for the relevant dealing cut-off point, and are subsequently processed for confirmation and settlement within deadlines.
What you will be responsible for
  • Oversight and exception management across all processes following auto-routed Aladdin CIS orders, to Transfer Agents
  • Placement of CIS orders to facilitate deal execution with Transfer Agents, utilizing Aladdin functionality, or alternative manual methods as necessary
  • Investigation and resolution of deal discrepancies, including monitoring and clearing of reconciliation breaks daily
  • Confirmation of CIS orders within Aladdin and enable settlement processes to follow
  • Play a lead role in the co-ordination of all Collective Investment Scheme elements of a project lifecycle through to implementation
  • Supports the change process of Collective Investment Schemes throughout the various stages of development, testing & implementation
  • Document current processes with the ability to make recommended changes based on an analytical review
  • Enable the set-up of new CIS as requested from fund management teams on internal systems and matrices, and externally with Transfer Agents and Custodians
  • Provide an exceptional level of service to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhere to risk and control framework
  • Adhere to and review procedures
  • Ensure all relevant transactions are processed within deadlines
  • Contribute to management information statistics
  • Identify and propose solutions for process improvements
  • Ad-hoc support to Manager and team members
Key Skills
  • Previous financial services experience in Asset Management Operation
  • Excellent attention to detail, working to high levels of accuracy
  • Organized and logical approach to working
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adhere to variable deadlines, managing

  • Must be able to use initiative to both resolve issues and identify long term solutions

  • PC literate - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Education & Preferred Qualifications
A desire to understand financial markets, to keep abreast of developments and to attain and
maintain a high level of professional competence in investment management and an Understanding / Experience or knowledge of:
  • Order Management System's i.e. Calastone, Fund Connect or similar
  • Swift messages relating to Collective Investment Schemes
  • Custody / Accounting requirements and dependencies.

  • (BRS) Aladdin
