The role of the Financial Markets Assistant is to provide effective and efficient administrative support to multiple FM teams and relevant FM management, as well as responsibilities that support managing the wider regional FM business and trading floor.
It is a varied role that requires flexibility and adaptability and a great opportunity for someone that thrives off working in a lively and fast-paced environment with a desire to grow responsibilities in role.
Your organisational skills need to be exceptional, with good attention to detail and the ability to juggle a range of different tasks. Written and oral communication needs to be of a high standard while being able to build good relationships across all seniorities.
Responsibilities: FM Desk Support
  • Work closely with FM COO to develop productivity, impact and organisation of the FM Trading, Sales or Origination business
  • Manage business heads diaries, travel, expenses, and other administrative tasks
  • Submit and manage invoices including sign off of costs relating to the FM Trading, Sales or Origination business where relevant
  • Maintain cost centre ownership, ensuring appropriate delegated authority is assigned to cost approvers
  • Support in recruitment and manage the onboarding and offboarding of staff, ensuring all systems and hardware in place and relevant governance controls are met
  • Raise and manage IT, telecom and property related requests
  • Support in maintaining core reference documents such as headcount tracking, hiring plans and organisation charts
  • Organise client and/or internal events
  • Manage overseas visitors, ensuring relevant stakeholders are aware
  • At as point of contact for other ad hoc requirements
Responsibilities: Europe Financial Markets Business
  • Support in the operational efficiency and security of the markets trading floor in London
  • Work collaboratively with the wider FM Assistant team, ensuring the FM Europe business has appropriate cover at all times
  • Share best practices and challenge processes to ensure operational efficiency
  • Support the wider FM business across core hours, assisting in daily BAU tasks as well as wider projects as requested by FM COO
  • Identify and take responsibility for additional administrative responsibilities with the support of the wider team for the purpose of increasing productivity

  • Have high standards of work with excellent attention to detail
  • Use appropriate interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) to deal confidently with global teams and senior management, both internally and externally
  • Prioritise and act proactively to take ownership and manage tasks/projects from start to finish using strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask while remaining calm and professional
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work under pressure
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and sharing best practice
  • Be a true team player with a flexible approach to all aspects of the role and the needs of the business
