About this role:

The Business Execution Consultant position is a change management role as part of CIB's Business Execution Services (BES) team, who are responsible for strategic execution of business change initiatives supporting the International business spanning the EMEA, APAC and Americas regions.

The role holder will support the Banking Capital Markets (BCM) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lines of business in the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) division, to future-proof their operating models in light of business growth and changing regulatory requirements.

International projects require strong collaboration with geographically dispersed teams. The Business Execution Consultant is an individual contributor role who will collaborate with multiple lines of businesses, legal entities and group functions e.g. Technology, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations.

(Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required)

In this role, you will:
  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert to Change Lead(s), Business Sponsors, and Business COOs on initiative sizing, scoping, and ensuring objectives and delivery of the change book of work.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across CIB International, specifically the BCM & CRE businesses in relation to Enterprise and Internationally driven change that impacts the region.
  • Support analysis and decision making with a specific focus on both LOB and region-specific impacts associated with new initiatives, projects, and changes to policies, procedures and processes
  • Perform analysis to determine the most appropriate solution to achieve strategic goals, through detailed evaluation of the business need, feasibility studies, benchmark/trade-off analysis, and development of high-level business requirements.
  • Analyse complex regulations that may span multiple businesses, jurisdictions and summarise for others who may have a less technical background.
  • Collaborate with group function stakeholders to achieve sign-offs and approvals when required.
  • Ensure all changes are sustainable and effectively embedded into business as usual.
  • Deliver day-to-day support for strategic planning and change management efforts - book of work change that may consist of business growth, business improvement, strategic operating model and alignment to change activities.
  • Manage strategic initiatives as part of businesses change book of work including Run the Bank (RtB) as well as components of large scale Change the Bank (CtB) change programs delivered in accordance Enterprise Change Management (ECM) policies and procedures.
  • Contributing to preparation of project cost, timeline and specific role-based estimates.
  • Support Change Lead(s) in partnership with Compliance on regulatory horizon scanning, to drive initial and in-depth impact assessments of new regulatory requirements to determine application to Wells Fargo legal entities and appropriate delivery response.

Required Qualifications, International:
  • Experience in managing change in a Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Banking COO/Business Manager capacity (or equivalent) in a financial institution within Banking Capital Markets (BCM)
  • Awareness and knowledge of financial services regulations in your region is essential (E.g. Brexit, MiFID, CRD VI for EMEA)
  • Intuitive; a fast learner with strong problem solving skills, good time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; the role requires interpretation and synthesis of regulatory, business and technical information
  • Experience in developing Booking Models, Target Operating Models, Business Process Models and Process Maps with Lines of Business to ensure that the solutions implemented meet the needs of both Wells Fargo and its clients
  • Experience analysing complex datasets in Excel to inform and influence senior stakeholder decision making. Ability to lead analysis on multiple LoB managed initiatives (e.g. 3-6-month cycles) simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a team structure.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders of all levels of seniority, from different backgrounds and based in other (global) locations.
  • Change mindset, with a record of accomplishment in project delivery and change management, and knowledge approaches and methodologies to support effective change and transformation Clear understanding of internal and external expectations/policies in respect of controls and governance.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and experience of SharePoint & Confluence would be beneficial.
