- Primary coverage of the London FI Portfolio Management teams with a focus on general day-to-day trade execution.
- Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective execution of trades in terms of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Maintain and develop external relationships with counterparties to ensure access to competitive pricing and liquidity sources.
- Propagation of trade ideas, specific axes, headline news and market "technicals" to Portfolio Managers and Analysts.
- Develop product knowledge and instrument expertise as new investment strategies warrant.
- Participation in specific trading projects as well as contributing to intra departmental projects.
- Ongoing analysis of TCA data and adapt trading strategies to minimise costs associated with execution.
- Participate with trade associations and external forums regarding market infrastructure, regulatory and technology changes and disseminate any pertained impact to the relevant personnel.
Knowledge, skills and behaviours required:
- Minimum 2-3 years previous Fixed Income trading experience in ALL Fixed Income products (ABS, IG, Rates, ETD, and other OTC products)
- A comprehensive knowledge of Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MarketAxess as information sources and trading platforms essential.
- Use of third-party vendors such as Ipreo, Direct Books and Neptune preferable.
- A working knowledge of a TCA vendor such as BestX, BTCA preferable
- Professional MS Office Skills:, Advanced Microsoft Excel preferable.
- Experience in programming languages such as Python a positive.
- CFA / IMC qualifications a positive.
