About our client

Our client, a UK leading multi-strategy investment manager are currently looking to hire a Legal Counsel to join their specialist debt and lending team. Over the past few years, the debt and lending arm of the organisation has been extremely busy, posting record-breaking figures. They foresee the market continuing at a high pace and therefore are looking to add an extra pair of hands to the team. What the job involves

As the Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal support to the debt and lending front office team along with working on specific projects, transaction design and portfolio support. On a daily basis you will work as part of a high-performing legal team, gaining plenty of exposure to internal and external senior stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Lawyer with exposure to the funds, private equity or debt & lending industries and is looking to grow their career within an in-house environment, to really make an impact. The role also involves:

  • Providing legal support on all aspects of the debt transactions, including execution and structuring
  • Providing support for specific internal projects
  • Providing corporate advice in an in-house context
  • Contributing to the standardisation of transaction documentation and processes
  • Managing external counsel and legal fees
  • Willingness to get involved in other 'business as usual' aspects
Who we are looking for

  • A qualified lawyer with exposure to the funds industry from an in-house or private practice perspective
  • Exposure to the debt and lending investment industry would be advantageous
  • Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders and strong interpersonal skills
  • An approachable individual with excellent organisational skills
