The energy strategy is a contrarian play focused on the production and development of tier 1 assets, targeting risk-adjusted private equity type returns in 3-7 years through distributions.
What the job involves
We are working with a family office focused on originating, executing and overseeing direct private equity investments in operating businesses, with an AUM of €14bn. The energy strategy is a contrarian play focused on the production and development of tier 1 assets, targeting risk-adjusted private equity type returns in 3-7 years through distributions.
What the job involves
- Maintaining deal pipelines, contacts database and engaging with advisors and market participants
- Managing incoming research and information flow to the team and distributing important information
- Oversee the existing businesses including budgets, hedging, financing and interact with co-CEOs (including trips to Texas)
- Review and screening of new investment opportunities (desktop DD, valuation, risks)
- Participate in all meetings and business development travel
- Engaging with sellers/partners, conducting due diligence and managing deal work streams including advisors
- Deal execution including structuring, documentation, internal memos
- Buyside/tier 1 investment bank experience
- Able to demonstarte focus on E&P
- Experienced across midstream and downstream
- Petroleum engineering training useful
- Global understanding of the oil and gas markets
