The Role: Product Manager - Upstream Asset & Portfolio Valuation

The Location: London/Tetbury

The Team:

This role is part of the international Upstream Product Management team who are responsible for an industry leading product portfolio. Customer centricity is at the heart of the team's approach to product management, utilizing leading technology and industry expertise to deliver solutions that support our clients to achieve their objectives.

The Impact:

This key role will set the vision and direction of the product, driving the expansion of asset and portfolio evaluation capabilities. This position plays an essential part in supporting the revenue growth of the Upstream Solutions business line. Through a deep understanding of asset and corporate level valuation workflows you will contribute to delivering next generation integrated valuation solutions to our corporate and financial customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the team to define a differentiated, integrated, and forward-looking product vision. Manage resulting product roadmap and prioritization.
  • Develop partnerships with customers and prospects to gather requirements and capability needs. Translate deep understanding of key user workflows into product requirements and enhancements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance (corporate financial modeling, company, and asset valuations economic analysis) to product owners, development team, customer support, sales, and other internal stake holders.
  • Support commercial and marketing teams with customer and prospect engagements and campaigns.
  • Lead innovation of capabilities and workflow enhancements addressing new market needs driving expansion into new customer sectors.
  • Drive product evolution through the identification and execution of synergy opportunities and cross-platform workflow integration strategies.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelors and/or a Masters degree in economics, geoscience or engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience at an operating company, investment bank or advisory firm in energy teams a distinct advantage.
  • Experience and deep knowledge in upstream corporate and asset financial modeling including discounted cash flow modeling, petroleum economics, tax consolidation and incremental economics, cost estimation, corporate mergers and acquisitions highly desirable.
  • Working exposure to third party upstream asset and portfolio valuation tools and exploration & production data sets. High skill level in data manipulation, Excel models, business intelligence tools, data science and analytics required.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and innovative thinker.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a global team of stakeholders.
  • Customer focused and active in energy industry networks.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
