Head of Quantitative Research - Long Term Investing - London

We are currently working with a prestigious asset management firm in London who invest in undervalued companies on a long-term, fundamental basis. This position will be responsible for the firm's quant function and is suitable for someone with 5-10 years of experience. The ideal candidate will come from another asset manager, with a background in equities and strong technical skills. They need someone who is a good communicator with demonstrable ability to manage a team.
In this role, you will :

• Head up the firm's quant function to support fundamental equity portfolio managers
• Manage the screening process
• Conduct bespoke quant research
• Be heavily involved in the investment process
• Manage a team of 4-5 quant analysts

You Will Need:

• Financial fluency
• A background in equities
• Strong communication and managerial skills
• To understand long term investing
• To be a team player
• A CFA or Masters in Finance from a top academic institution
• Fluency with all relevant data sets
• Proficiency in Python and R
