A small team of data management employees are currently located across three office locations, however as the firm are looking to 'massively ramp up' its global data management function, we are looking to hire a Global Head of Data Management to lead / direct a large global build out (working closely to the data engineering team to execute).
The remit covers market data, static data, reference data and procurement. The role is heavily front office aligned - the hire should expect to face off to industry leading portfolio managers and traders from day one.
Candidates should ideally have a background in hedge funds (half of the role is working with real time data), not asset managers, however we are open to banking candidates and other potential synergies - we are ideally looking for individuals that currently run a global data management function at a top tier financial institution. We could consider an experienced quant / trader looking for a career change, however, the need for solid vendor contracting / licensing experience could exclude them - solid vendor management / procurement experience is very important.
This is a high priority hire for my client. They have committed a large budget to ensure a very attractive base salary increase for any hire + a guaranteed minimum package / bonus that is comfortably in the upper quartile of what firms pay for this type of role, with lots of added upside on bonus assuming strong performance from the hire.
My client are fairly relaxed when it comes to flexible working - you are in control of how much time you work from their office versus wfh on a weekly basis.
