The Role: Product Development Analyst, Financial Markets

The Financial and Capital Markets team within S&P Global Mobility delivers essential intelligence on automotive and transportation topics to the financial community to support confident decision making about the future as it unfolds.

The Impact:

The financial community's appetite for automotive sector information is increasing rapidly, notably driven by demand from institutional investors and investment banks for intelligence on auto industry electrification and decarbonization. Our fast-growing team is building out new data products and delivery mechanisms, supported by S&P Global's groupwide resources and platforms.

  • Oversee and facilitate end-to-end product development including: researching and analyzing opportunities; technical product development and definition; project management and budgeting; and helping to define sales and marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and document financial clients' requirements, to ensure their needs play a foundational role in the product development process.
  • Refine and deploy strategies determining how new products should be defined and what they should cost.
  • Drive and manage product implementation projects that co-ordinate between multiple parties including technical teams, data owners, and commercial leads.
  • Help establish reporting protocols to support and inform the team's stakeholders within the S&P Global organization.
What We're Looking For:
  • The role requires experience with product development processes, e.g. project planning, tracking or management - preferably gained in a data-oriented organization.
  • At least 3 years' relevant professional experience
  • Strong numeracy, comfort with budgeting and using MS Excel
  • Strong literacy and communication skills
  • Desirable: Passionate about financial information, capital markets and/or the automotive industry
