The Role Responsibilities
Strategy
  • Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy.
  • Understand and influence CCIB Europe client strategy.
  • Focus on clients and growth.
Responsibilities
  • Support the management and allocation of the Single Borrower Limit ("SBL") capacity
  • Agree allocation of SBL across counterparties and facilities, for each client Group, with GB business and Credit Analysts teams and oversight BCA process to capture this
  • Help to manage the portfolio of Intra Group Guarantees (IGG's) to ensure all large EEA client credit exposures do not breach the SBL.
  • Determine collateral amounts to cover IGG's and direct the REPO desk to transact on this basis.
  • Input into the Operational Risk framework around SBL and help keep the SBL Process Document up to date with appropriate approvals
  • Support the maintenance of plans and projections for exposure usage and transaction pipeline to provide GB input into ICAAP and Stress Testing process

  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates.
  • In depth knowledge of CCIB's strategic and performance objectives.
People and Talent
  • Maintain the bank's global standard through full compliance with all mandatory learning.
  • Ensure a strong development plan
Risk Management
  • Ensure the SBL limits are managed within maximum exposure at all times.
  • Ensure all other risks minimised while ensuring cost of collateralised IGG is minimised.
  • Be proactive in ensuring compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
Governance
  • Help to manage the SBL process and operate within SBL & IGG Policies.
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
