Join us as a Strategic Finance Manager, Manage My Money

  • You'll work in the Product and Capital Finance Business Partnering team and the Commercial and Institutional (C&I) team to support the Customer Propositions and Delivery (CP&D) team
  • Day-to-day, you'll work in a fast-paced, evolving and exciting environment and help with the Manage My Money customer goal that focuses on payments, cards and deposits
  • CP&D have started the transition to align themselves to customer journeys, so you'll have the chance to shape how our finance team supports business through this transition and beyond
  • Our Commercial Finance team operates within a hybrid working model, which is why we're open to applicants across the UK, with occasional travel to our London office


What you'll do

In this role, you'll be providing business insights and market knowledge to assist the Manage My Money customer goal within C&I to make key product, cost and investment decisions.

As well as this, you'll build your knowledge of our business to become a key part of the team and provide commercial and financial insights and analysis to help influence key business decisions, including business cases and product propositions.

You'll also be:

  • Analysing financial regulatory change impact on products and services
  • Providing investment tracking and forecasting reviews
  • Using data and analytical thinking to solve strategic problems using the latest tools and techniques
  • Collaborating with our Finance Centre of Excellence to provide specific financial plans, forecasts, stress testing and customer, market or segment analysis
  • Reviewing and delivering input for plans, forecasts and stress scenarios, while providing business leads with key themes and analysis


The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you'll need good networking and stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate, influence and resolve conflict. Along with planning and organisation capabilities, you'll need the ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty and risk and work in a flexible environment.

You'll also demonstrate:

  • Great data analysis and modelling skills
  • The ability to communicate complex financial information in a concise and non-technical manner
  • An understanding of how to create and review plans, forecasts, models and stress scenarios
  • Good finance, accounting, product area and market segment knowledge
  • A strategic awareness and the ability to apply your knowledge and expertise to support our business
