The Role Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the Group's remuneration-related policies and processes are compliant with regulatory requirements and expectations through a regular review of variable compensation plans and fixed pay components. Produce remuneration-related regulatory submissions and oversee the preparation and review of regulatory reporting data tables.
  • Interpret the implications for the Group of new or revised regulation by drafting responses to consultations and reviewing the alignment of internal practices through detailed gap analyses.
  • Oversee subsidiary remuneration governance by partnering with the country and regional reward teams on the implementation of country-specific regulations in key markets. Ensure appropriate global alignment and consistency on how subsidiaries manage requirements (including remuneration committees) and regulatory reporting.
  • Support the preparation for the Group Remuneration Committee, the Group Reward Plan Committee and the Remuneration Adjustment Committee meetings by writing proposals in papers to ensure the proper governance of remuneration, particularly relating to the risk adjustment of remuneration.
  • Maintain a governance framework for incentives and other aspects of remuneration that is efficient, effective and agile by supporting the design and maintenance of policies, standards, guidelines, detailed operating instructions and communication templates. Develop and maintain Group-wide conformance testing, monitoring and reporting to provide assurance that Group-wide policies and processes are being followed.

  • Responsible for ensuring reward policies and practices are compliant with regulatory requirements and aligned with the long-term interests of the Group.

  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values within the broader team.
Risk Management
  • Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility in line with the Group's Risk Management Framework and the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, particularly in respect of reward governance and executive compensation.
Other Responsibilities
  • Embed Here for good and Group's brand and values in Executive Compensation and Reward Governance.
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
  • Support the Global Head, Performance, Reward and Benefits, and the Head, Executive Compensation & Reward Governance with all aspects of reward as required.
  • Monitor market intelligence on competitor activity and industry best practice.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • No specific qualifications needed but in-depth knowledge of PRA Rulebook, SM&CR and other associated regulations preferred.
