This is a rare chance for a super star Analyst with stand-out Excel modelling skills to join the European Real Estate Equity Investments team of one of the most respected and fastest growing institutional investors in the world, performing a broad investment role in real estate investments across the risk spectrum, with a focus on large/scalable and complex transactions. The investment approach is primarily in direct real estate JVs with aligned operating partners, also in private and public real estate operating platforms and public REITs.

European RE AuM is c.$15 billion, across retail, offices, industrial, residential, student, life science, data centers and hospitality located in the UK and across Europe. There is a constant recycling of capital through disposition and acquisition transactions within JV partnerships and within portfolio companies.

Scale and complexity in its investment approach is constantly increasing and value-generating business plans, with heavy capex requirement and ground up development activity are a common investment characteristic.

Based in London, the Analyst will be a key contributor to the European real estate investment program and will undertake acquisition and disposition activity across a large and growing portfolio of equity interests in real estate. In addition, S/he will oversee the delivery of active asset management and portfolio management activities, working closely with operating partners. The Analyst will have a significant amount of exposure to all elements of the European RE business.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' relevant experience gained in principal investing, corporate finance and/or M&A at a leading investment banking, consulting firm or asset manager with a strong focus on real estate

• Strong financial modelling skills, specifically fluency in Microsoft Excel is a requirement

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (in English, written & verbal) with an ability to build working relationships internally and externally

• Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility and initiative

• Demonstrate deep interest in the real estate sector and for principal investing

• Understanding of RE valuation & investment appraisal techniques is essential

• European foreign language skills and educational/working experience in one of the target Continental European markets is an asset

• Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office

• Conduct consistent with CPP's guiding principles of integrity, partnership and high performance.
