Job Purpose:
To work closely with the Sales and Client Relations teams to support IM EMEA sales and marketing functions. The individual will gain exposure to and develop an in-depth understanding of the various products' strengths and weaknesses, and key performance attributes. The individual will require existing knowledge of or exhibit an aptitude and willingness to learn how to calculate and understand various risk and performance statistics. The candidate will share responsibility with other team members for maintaining relationships with the BNY Mellon investment firms and external information and performance vendors and ensure IM EMEA products are correctly represented. S/he, along with the other London team members, will also be responsible for liaising with and overseeing the Pune Performance and Client Reporting teams to ensure they fullfil their reporting and support functions.
Responsibilities:

• Assist in the calculation, reporting and analysis of performance and risk data for the products managed by IM EMEA's investment firms.
• Be a "go to" performance expert for internal clients when discussing an approach to performance analysis.
• Work closely with and support the team members in London and Pune, providing guidance and assistance as necessary.
• Gain knowledge of products and processes and, overseeing the Pune teams, ensure reporting is timely and that errors and risks are minimised.
• Innovate and introduce efficiencies so as to provide capacity for quality, value-added reporting and fund analysis.
• Collaborate with the BNY Mellon investment companies to ensure products are meaningfully presented and supported.
• In conjunction with Pune, maintain relationships with various external information and performance vendors, and ensure IM EMEA products are correctly represented: e.g. Lipper, Morningstar.
• Support for the teams utilising (non-performance) ESG-related data
• Oversight of contracts with data and systems vendors.
• Organise workflows and identify possible tasks suitable for outsourcing to Pune.
• Ensure management is kept informed of issues and potential risks.

Key Skills Required:

• Overall , we are looking for an inquisitive, self-starter who is meticulous in detail and intellectually curious around performance data
• Ideally 2-5 years in a performance or data-relevant role in asset management
• Strong organization, time and project management skills
• Desire to learn about new aspects of investment management in particular ESG, Responsible and Sustainable Investing - experience here would be particularly valuable
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with absolute attention to detail
• A proactive approach to resolving issues as well as identifying developing opportunities for where we can work more efficiently and where we can better support sales related activity
• Educated to degree level or equivalent qualifiers - IMC qualification would be an advantage
• Experience of Bloomberg, Lipper, Morningstar, eVestment and other market analysis tools
