Purpose:

A high-profile role within our Colleagues and Culture team and the wider business, the Senior Remuneration & Benefits Consultant (International) will lead the design, research and delivery of reward advice for our UK & US business. This is a rare opportunity to build the Remuneration and Benefits capability for an ambitious, purpose led globalising Investment Management business.

In partnership with the Reward and People Analytics team, you will be accountable for:

Expertise

Being the recognised remuneration expert for our International business and support the People Experience Partners for London, Beijing, and New York.

Strategic development of our Remuneration and Benefits capability of our International offices.

Strategise and manage the review and implementation of remuneration and benefits programs for the Fund in our International offices. This involves supporting effective remuneration decision making by providing solutions to colleagues on a wide range of operational remuneration & benefits matters.

Develop appropriate strategies to support and build the international benefits offering as the Fund grows in to ensure that the suite of Benefits remain current and applicable to the size of the population and that economies of scale are optimised.

Stakeholder Management including Regulators.

International lead for internal & external remuneration consultants, global mobility specialists and third-party suppliers. Lead in ensuring compliance with relevant remuneration related regulation and legislation in the Fund's international jurisdictions.

Lead on execution and control of the annual remuneration review process for international colleagues.

Manage the relationship with benefits providers and brokers in the UK and US including development of benefits strategies, negotiation of offering and facilitation of service level agreements and statements of work as required. Has in depth knowledge and experience of the legislation in both the UK and the US in ensuring the Fund meets its statutory obligations.

Candidates experience assessed as follows:

Essential:
  • Deep experience as a Remuneration & Benefits specialist in a regulated environment.
  • Sound knowledge of market benchmarking and job evaluation techniques.
  • Strong capability with data, including preparing simple data models with standard applications.
  • Strong experience and developed working knowledge in the use of enterprise level HRIS solutions.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory, legislative and taxation requirements as they relate to global remuneration and benefits including:- United Kingdom and USA knowledge of remuneration and benefits provisions.
  • Significant knowledge of UK Regulatory governance including experience of working in an FCA regulated company/ environment.
  • Working experience of the UK Senior Manager and Certification Regime.
  • Working knowledge of 401k schemes in USA.

Desired:
  • Experience or knowledge of internal management of global mobility program and/or working with global mobility specialists and third-party suppliers to ensure reward aspects of assignments are appropriately applied.
  • Familiarity with reporting and metrics best practice.
  • Familiarity with the importance of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and the role of remuneration, benefits, and recognition in driving a DEI agenda.

This role is based on site at London King's Cross Estate, one of the core assets of the Fund's global portfolio.
