As an experienced Data Scientist with knowledge of traditional datasets and an interest in exploring the developing field of ESG data. The role of Responsible Investment Quantitative Analyst sits in the Responsible Investment team, reporting into the Head of Responsible Investment.

You will use your passion for data analysis, researching, and responsible investments to develop solutions tailored to meet the organisation's unique needs. The role involves significant individual responsibility, but also the ability to play a key role in the wider responsible investment team.

You will work closely with different business areas to develop and implement ESG data solutions on various aspects of the investment process. Liaising with ESG data providers and implementing data best practices. You will ensure data management, transparency and accountability sits at the core of our RI practices.

You will support regulatory requirements in terms of data disclosures, such as TCFD, Consumer Duty and SDR regulations.

To be successful in this role you will need hands-on experience with common data science toolkits, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as being collaborative and highly organised, with a passion for responsible investment. Any previous experience of ESG data sets and/or Funds and Investment management considered to be advantageous but not essential.

You will have demonstrable experience of software development and implementation and be comfortable with database design. This includes Excel, Python/Java, PowerBI, SQL.

Relevant qualifications in a field such as computer science/data science, engineering, mathematics, operational research, physics, or statistics would also be beneficial alongside professional experience.

You will have strong written and communication skills - it is incredibly important to describe findings to a technical and non-technical audience.

You will possess the ability to operate with limited oversight whilst ensuring quality output and recommendations are communicated and presented clearly, within a timely manner and will enjoy providing support to Head of Responsible Investment (RI) in the development and practical implementation of RI through the investment process.
