RFP Writer - 12 Month FTC

M&G are looking for an RFP (Request for Proposal) Writer to join the Global RFP team on a fixed-term basis of 12 months to be the subject matter expert on ESG investing. The Global RFP team collaborate with distinct business areas and investment teams and play a key role in both the retention and acquisition of new business.
This RFP writer will be the team's expert in all things ESG investing including being responsible for the ESG sections of RFP and DDQs (Due Diligence Questionnaires) and keeping the team up to date on ESG changes across various asset classes.
With the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) now live in Europe and SDR announced in the UK, we have seen a large increase in ESG specific pieces of work.
This is a great opportunity to develop your writing skills and broaden product and ESG knowledge, whilst working alongside a talented and supportive team. The team is co-located in across London & Edinburgh, and we will be looking for someone based in London to fill this role.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts throughout the firm to understand their area of expertise and be able to accurately represent that in RFP and DDQs
• Keep the team up to date with changes in ESG credentials - be that M&G product specifics or industry advancements
• Work with the Content Database and Consultants Database teams to create accurate responses and develop narratives for use in documentation
• Complete high-quality RFPs and DDQs from prospective clients, consultants, and existing clients in a timely and accurate manner
• Develop strong working relationships with Client Portfolio Management teams, Sales professionals, Client Relationship Managers, Compliance and other groups
• Learn and communicate the investment team's investment philosophy, process, product positioning and current market trends to internal and external clients
• Assist with ad hoc projects including technology initiatives to automate reports and other materials
• Commit to improving the efficiency of the RFP process and quality of RFP submissions

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• 2-4 years of experience of working in Asset Management in an RFP role and willingness to learn about Investments
• Experience working with various stakeholders and the ability to build good working relationships by understanding needs and requirements
• Proficient in the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to manage and control multiple priorities and competing deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail
• Experience of RFP Databases (RocketDocs, Qvidian, etc.) would be beneficial
