Fund Research / Manager Selection - Leading FTSE 250 Wealth / Asset Manager - City of London
Your new company
A leading FTSE 250 Asset / Wealth Management firm is looking to hire an experienced Fund Research Analyst to join them in the City of London and help provide some of the best services in the industry to their clients. The company is very well established and has a strong award-winning team of dedicated fund research analysts that are crucial in the investment process. It is a very exciting time to join as the company has bold and ambitious plans to grow their team even further. Culture is on top of the list on their priorities and you will enjoy a great collegiate environment where everyone supports each other.
Your new role
The role will provide you with a lot of individual responsibility and you will play a key role in the wider team and processes. You will utilise your fund research and manager selection experience to provide the right recommendations and ideas to investment managers. As this is one of the UK's biggest wealth managers and a lot of their assets are invested in funds, this is a very prominent position. The team covers a lot of asset classes - from traditional equity and fixed income, to alternatives. Your main focus will be on UK and Global Equities, with the scope to cover other areas in the future. You will conduct best in class fund research to find the best investment opportunities for the team and the clients. You will also have a say on the wider model allocation and ESG considerations.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you need to have great communication skills and in-depth fund manager research experience. Having exposure to UK / Global Equities is preferred and being able to communicate well both in written and presentation form is important as well. Culture is key, and being proactive, ambitious and collegiate is what will get you through the door. You should be able to understand how ESG factors are incorporated in the investment decision-making and having good knowledge of systems and data for fund analysis such as Style Analytics, Morningstar and FactSet is also an advantage.
What you'll get in return
You will enjoy an outstanding company culture that is praised by all their employees and a great compensation package that is tailored to your current experience - £80k-£120k base salary + very competitive discretionary bonus. If you are thinking of or in the process of obtaining a qualification, such as the CFA or the ESG exam, this is very much encouraged and the company will provide you with a lot of support. You will also enjoy a flexible working culture that can work around your needs.
