Your New Job Title: Market & Operational Risk Analyst

The Skills You Need: Fluent English, with Market Risk / Operational Risk experience in corporate banking in the UK
Your New Salary: £45-55k (possibly up to £60k) depending on experience + bonus
Location: Central London
Report to: Head of Risk

Summary:

•Take responsibilities for market risk oversight, analysis and reporting, design risk monitoring framework, assist in setting market risk policies and new products, enhance risk systems and tools, and provide head-office and regulatory reporting
•Take responsibilities as 2nd line control providing guidance and raise concerns to the business according to the Operational Risk Framework. Responsibilities includes the articulation and escalation of operational risks, providing advisory support, new product approval due diligence, and ensuring that the business appropriately represents its risk and controls on the Risk Consideration.

What You'll be Doing Each Day:

Market Risk
•Identify, measure and manage Interest rate risk, FX risk, option risk and other market risks.
•Monitor market-related risks against predefined limits established.
•Produce daily/monthly risk management reports, and scheduled reports to senior management.
•Assist in head-office and regulatory reporting.
•Identify and evaluate market risk contained in the new product and new business.
•Develop tools and utilize IT systems to enhance market risk management and head-office and regulatory reporting
•Work with front office to establish and review risk appetite framework and business strategy
•Develop and perform stress test program

Operational risk
•Support and help develop the branch's operational risk management policies, procedures and specific rules
•Assist in the implementation of operational risk identification, monitoring, evaluation, measurement, control, mitigation,;
•Help establish the basic control standards of operational risk, define standards of events of operational risk loss, guide and coordinate operational risk management within the branch;
•Assist other departments to identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate operational risks;
•Prepare MI and monitor key risk indicators and risk loss events, report overall status of the branch's operational risk management to senior management.
•Support in developing long-term management mechanism including operational risk management programs, training, summarizing etc.
•Develop and continuously improve the policies, procedures and plans for business continuity

Others
•In addition to the above duties, the Employee may from time to time be required to undertake additional or other duties within his/her capacity as necessary to meet the needs of the bank's business.

The skills you need to succeed:

•Market risk experience gained from a banking or financial environment.
•Degree or equivalent qualification
•IT skills (SQL, Excel VBA, Python) would be viewed favourably
•Working towards a professional qualification, such as CFA, FRM would be viewed positively but is not essential
•Mandarin language skill is a plus but not essential
