Investment Writer

The main scope of the role is to collaborate with investment, distribution and finance colleagues to produce compelling and high-quality content for use across a range of mediums, including the listed fund annual reports.

To assist in the project management and end-to-end delivery of best in class corporate reporting for the listed funds.

To create the most positive environment possible to facilitate sales and the retention of investors

General

• Develop a thorough understanding of the Funds and investment process, becoming an expert on the Funds and markets in which they invest.
• Collaborate with investment, distribution and finance colleagues to produce compelling and high-quality content for use across a range of mediums, including the annual reports of the listed funds.
• Understand where to source information and, when needed, produce quantitative analysis for content.
• Engage in regular collaborative efforts with the distribution team and finance teams and work towards the goals and objectives of the respective teams.
• Manage and maintain regular contact with the Head of Distribution and the Head of Corporate Reporting

Monthly/Quarterly

• Preparation of monthly/quarterly factsheet commentary.
• Support with production of annual Investment Adviser reports.

Annual reports

• Liaise with investment colleagues to produce market and portfolio content for inclusion in the annual reports
• Produce financial analysis, case studies, stakeholder information, ESG and other content for the annual reports as required
• Agree and produce an internal timetable with stakeholders, coordinate provision of all copy/data to the design agency.
• Ensure stakeholders provide their deliverables in line with the timetable using project management software and/or timetables.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates
• Assist the Head of Corporate reporting with the production of the Responsible Investment report, drafting content as required.

Ad hoc

• Expect to travel occasionally further afield with colleagues for off-site meetings.
• Be ready to assist with production of marketing material when required, particularly in relation to external and internal events.
• Assist in market research for new fund development.
