About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering due diligence to support Hargreaves Lansdown Fund Management (HLFM) strategic activity over the next 12 months. As Investment Due Diligence Analyst, you will be reviewing, clarifying, and assessing the due diligence submissions for the third-party funds used in HLFM's funds-of-funds.

This fast-paced 12-month fixed-term role offers the chance to gain valuable insight into Fund Management and play a crucial part in delivering HL's strategy. You will use your experience and professional judgement, in hand with HL's Due Diligence Framework, to draw conclusions and report your results to internal stakeholders in our Investment Research and Fund Management teams.

What you'll be doing
  • Working closely with the Product Due Diligence Manager to support due diligence operations in line with HLFM fund launch activity
  • Reviewing due diligence responses from fund groups and drawing conclusions as to whether the group meets HL expectations
  • Meeting external stakeholders remotely or in person to review evidence, take notes, ask questions, and clarify the information provided
  • Managing external stakeholders to maintain a positive and constructive working relationship with fund groups
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, including the Investment Research and Fund Management teams, to communicate and discuss outcomes of due diligence reviews
  • Supporting the Product Governance Manager in the administration of the Investment Due Diligence framework, including relevant Management Information and reporting


About you
  • Good knowledge of financial markets and the fund management industry
  • Proven experience and understanding of governance, risk management and control environments
  • Understanding of HL's clients and products, particularly within HLFM
  • Good knowledge of regulation and legislation applicable to fund management
  • Experience in a client-focussed organisation
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to converse with senior external stakeholders with confidence and optimise the opportunity to ask relevant questions and clarify information
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Working schedule

This role will be a 12-month fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid, remote and flexible working is available for consideration, our office is based in Bristol (BS1 5HL). Occasional travel to meet with third parties in person will be required at times.
