My Client, an International bank in the City, seek a junior (Associate level, circa 2 years experience) big ticket Real Estate client coverage professional, to join their London Real Estate team.

The role will involve :

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities :
  1. Responsible for monitoring the provision of Compliance Certificates and other Information Undertakings for the assigned portfolio, including maintaining an active diary system, proactively requesting information from Borrower's, and updating the portfolio log upon receipt. Raising any identified non-compliance, anomalies, and other important information with the assigned RM promptly.
  2. Responsible for completing Annual Credit Reviews of facilities (to be reviewed by the assigned RM prior to submission) within the deadlines set by the Credit Risk Department.
  3. Assist the assigned RM with the assessment of new lending opportunities including basic modelling and other research as directed.
  4. Assist the assigned RM with the completion of Credit Applications and Credit Rating Models as directed.
  5. Responsible for completing the Transaction Completion Process post credit approval, to ensure all facilities are correctly documented, booked, and drawn in the Bank's systems.
  6. Liaising with third party legal, valuation, and project monitoring firms as directed by the assigned RM.
  7. Completing the Bank's pre-signing procedures as appropriate and arranging the signature of documents by the Bank's signatories.
  8. Overseeing the onboarding and completion of Client Due Diligence (CDD, aka "KYC") with the assistance of the CDD Department.
  9. Manage the timely completion of CDD reviews within the deadlines stipulated by the CDD Department.
  10. Completion of basic Credit Memorandum (such as short term extensions or waiver requests) as directed by the assigned RM.
  11. Liaise closely with other internal departments such as Credit Administration to ensure the smooth daily running of the portfolio, referring to the assigned RM for guidance as necessary.
  12. To act as the main point of contact for day-to-day client enquires.
  13. To attend client meetings and/or undertake property inspections as directed by the assigned RM.
  14. To effectively manage the assigned portfolio with the assistance of the Head or Deputy Head of Department in the absence of the assigned RM.
  15. To ensure the accuracy of data within the Bank's systems.
  16. To keep up to date with industry news and developments.
  17. To assist the assigned RM with any ad hoc projects or reporting requirements as directed.
  18. To complete general departmental tasks as assigned by the Head or Deputy Head of Department.
  19. Any other tasks that may be directed by the assigned RM or departmental management.

Suitable candidates will possess :
  • A minimum of 2 years banking experience, preferably within a client facing role;
  • A working general knowledge of Commercial/Corporate lending practices, preferably with prior CRE experience;
  • Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure;
  • A high level of attention to detail, including the ability to accurately interpret legal clauses and LMA loan documentation;
  • Strong work ethic with good team working skills;
