The Role: Intern for the EMEA Advisory team (IRBRS)
To work within the Investor Relations, Broker Research & Sustainability (IRBRS) team as a Capital Markets Intern

The Location: London, United Kingdom

The team:
You will be working with the EMEA Advisory Team (Investor Relations) in London, UK, whose sole focus is delivering superior intelligence and support to clients across the EMEA region. The team covers companies within all sectors and of all market capitalisations, providing clients with solutions to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of their investor engagement. The suite of services covered includes Investor Targeting and Capital Intelligence. Cooperation, trust and innovation are central to the team's ethos.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and understanding of the investor relations function and its role with executive teams of publicly traded companies. Become well versed in the role of an Investor Relations Officer (IRO) and topics relevant to the discipline.
• Follow public equity markets closely and update clients about events affecting individual stocks, specific sectors, and the broader economy.
• Support senior members of the team in providing clients with intelligence around their institutional investors and what is driving trading in equity markets. Assist/participate with senior team members on scheduled and ad hoc client calls.
• Support senior members of the team in providing clients/prospects with targeting intelligence on institutional investors in conjunction with their investor relations outreach efforts. Assist/participate with senior team members on scheduled and ad hoc client calls.
• Play a full part in research initiatives by extracting, transforming, and analysing relevant data from a variety of public and proprietary applications. Analyze the flow of institutional capital and provide intelligence on investor behavior.
• Help produce scheduled deliverables and ad hoc reports in a timely and accurate fashion
• Play a full part in client prospecting initiatives and join sales presentations calls.

What we're looking for:
• Some financial markets experience or in a related field
• Ability to demonstrate strong quantitative and qualitative talent
• Analytical reasoning ability as well as effective oral and written communication skills
• Collaborative skill set that allows you to work within a dynamic and inclusive team
• An ability to analyze data and absorb new information in an enthusiastic, fast-paced environment
• Comfort with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with market data applications a plus
• Demonstrated interest and understanding of capital markets
• Aptitude to learn 3rd-party analytical software and internal proprietary applications
• Detail-oriented; able to multi-task; strong organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable with client-facing situations
• Resourceful and not afraid to ask questions
• BA or BS Degree in a financial or quantitative related discipline, focus on data analytics a plus
