Payments Express-Engineering Manager (Hybrid)

• Collaborates with clients to deliver next-generation financial solutions using TTS Innovation Labs.

This role will partner with product and Architects to lead the full solution life cycle -- from product definition to solution development. This role will build large and complex Solutions that require the coordination of multiple LOB's and Agile Release Trains (ARTs). We are seeking a Engineering Manager to lead our transformation of instant payments platform. The successful candidate requires a deep knowledge and successful track record in developing and delivering solutions across continuum from client experience to the global market infrastructures. Their oversight allows the train to run smoothly by identifying and resolving bottlenecks across the entire solution. They also work with Product and Release Train Engineers (RTEs) to coordinate delivery of the final solution.

Responsibilities:

• Manage teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
• Deliver high quality technical solutions to multiple global stakeholders in a fast paced environment
• Develop strong SRE mindset in the engineering teams with an emphasis 7x24 availability of solutions.
• Create an engineering excellence culture through knowledge sharing, innovation and embracing best practices through agile delivery. Ensure adherence to Technology Engineering KPIs
• Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues
• Work with engineering, product, and leadership teams to plan and execute programs and deliver results
• Identify and communicate risks and blockers. Actively work to resolve these and drive successful deliveries.
• Demonstrates understanding of Payments and cloud
• Owns and drives the program end to end to lead a successful cloud (AWS, GCP) implementation for a franchise critical payment system
• A hands on Engineering leader responsible for implementing enterprise scale solutions
• Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary

Qualifications:

• Engineering experience building multi-tiered payment engines with high availability and throughput including management experience.
• Strong history of driving, leading Solutions Architecture
• Experience in program management preferably from a applications development background
• Experience managing global teams and driving progress by influence and ownership
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience driving cloud roadmap strategy and definition is preferable
• Experience with public (AWS) or hybrid cloud is preferable (Kubernetes or Knative)
• Experience with modernizing and migrating applications/clients to strategic architectures
• Experience building hybrid cloud architectures leveraging Java, Kafka, Mongo.
• Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master's degree preferred
