FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis):
Financial Modelling:
Financial and Regulatory Accounting:
- University graduate and either an early-stage studier or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) finance professional with commercial finance, financial analysis, FP&A experience. Note: Study support towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA will be provided with this role).
- Financial services experience (banking preferable but not essential)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent Excel with some basic modelling skills.
- Attention to detail and business commercial thinking mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis):
- Delivery of high-quality timely management Information to Exco, Board, Group reports and ad-hoc investor analysis.
- Assist with forecasting and strategic planning activities.
- Support the rolling forecasting, quarterly operating forecast process and annual budgeting process.
- Ad hoc production of analysis and bespoke MI is required as a part of the role, mainly driven by strategy changes and client requirements.
- Understanding the impact of variances to budgets, highlighting these issues, and providing options for management
- Attention to detail - Updating, producing, and checking for accuracy all existing data reports external (Clients) consumption. Adhering to submission of reports as specified by the clients.
- Support scenario modelling for the development and growth of the Company and its strategic initiatives.
Financial Modelling:
- Financial modelling to support the budgeting and forecasting process as well as ad hoc analysis, within Anaplan.
- ICAAP (Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process) and ILAAP (Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process) modelling. Liquidity and Capital forecasting in both a stressed and unstressed environment and running the IFRS9 model in stressed and unstressed environments.
- Scenario & Stress testing - Supporting the financial modelling of scenario tests.
- Model Risk - Supporting the documentation of model risk including how the model works, its strengths and limitations, and its sensitivity to key inputs / assumptions.
Financial and Regulatory Accounting:
- Understanding of Capital requirements and Capital regulations within the Banking sector.
- Assist with duties required of the broader Finance department, where appropriate.
- To complement the time that will be spent with our accounts payable and GL systems, the role will have need for understanding all finance data, and helping to build out recs, controls and automated reporting.
- Involvement with the delivery of the end-to-end monthly close processes and associated reporting requirements, in a timely basis .
