This is a key global leadership role, working in a community of data professionals within the CGM division's Group Data Office. You will work in close partnership with business stakeholders, our Client Operations team, and support groups.

In this leading role, you will assume responsibility for all aspects of the Commodities and Global Markets' client data landscape. This will include, but is not limited to, infrastructure, sourcing, storing, modelling and governance, as it relates to client data. You will be instrumental to the design and execution of CGM's transformation programs, where you will ensure our client data is mastered and maintained in a manner that meets business, compliance, and operational requirements. As the CGM Client Data Delivery Lead, you will have accountability for our client data landscape, and be responsible for all change initiatives with a client data nexus.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the design and execution of CGM's end to end client data infrastructure, including sourcing, storage and modelling and reporting
  • Working within our enterprise-wide data management framework to develop and embed governance practices to ensure adherence within CGM's client data
  • Providing clear guidance and a principles-led approach to client data structures and storage, as a foundation to capture and deliver client data that is trusted
  • Working with the business and support groups stakeholders, including data architects, to ensure client data solutions are appropriate, and delivered end to end
  • Partnering with CGM leadership to execute their management accountabilities for high quality data
  • Developing and maintaining a change book of work, for both transformational change and remediations, ensuring priority initiatives are resourced and executed in-line with sponsor ambitions.
  • Providing data management subject matter expertise to projects and other change initiatives
  • Advancing the mobilisation of the Commodities and Global Markets data community, including in business operational oversight

What skills will you bring?
  • Tertiary qualifications preferably in a quantitative subject e.g., engineering, mathematics or finance.
  • At least 5 years of experience in client data and analytics related areas
  • Advanced computer literacy (e.g., Excel, SQL and Python) and experience with at least one data visualisation tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) would be highly regarded
  • Experience with data governance and metadata management frameworks/tools (e.g., Collibra)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex analytics concepts for people from non-tech background.

The following skills and experience will be also highly regarded:
  • Knowledge of financial products and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of risk and control frameworks

At Macquarie, we are working to a hybrid model to support your development and strengthen your working relationships.
