Role Summary:
The Methodology & Assumptions team maintains an in-house system for large scale data analysis, the 'MEA System'. A number of enhancements are planned for the MEA System over the next 12 months to enhance capabilities to support more processes within the business.
To support this effort a technical specialist with extensive experience of testing and documenting actuarial or similar large scale data driven financial systems is required.

To support this effort a technical specialist with extensive experience of testing and documenting actuarial or similar large scale data driven financial systems is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- To carry out both functional testing of planned system changes and regression/non-corruption testing of existing processes.
- To document test plans and test results to a standard acceptable to auditors.
- To update the system documentation to reflect the planned changes, including user documentation and specifications.
- To support release activities, including testing releases, as required.
- To facilitate user acceptance testing and assist with communicating changes to users.
Experience:
- Significant experience of testing and documenting complex data driven financial systems (ideally actuarial).
- Experience of communicating complex problems and influencing effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Experience of working in an audited financial services environment.
Knowledge:
- Strong working knowledge of SQL (T-SQL/SQL Server in particular) is required to interrogate system outputs.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and VBA
- Strong knowledge of best practice in IT systems testing and documentation
