Global Events Manager (London or Madrid)

The role will be hybrid working from one of our Ebury offices - 3 days / week in the office - with opportunities to travel to understand regional requirements as needed

Ebury is looking to hire a Global Events Manager to be based out of our London or Madridoffice. You will join the Marketing team, reporting into the VP of Sales Acceleration and help to develop and scale the global events framework for the organisation.

You will help to promote the Ebury brand, drive customer acquisition and support customer engagement through both in person and online events, across our 30+ locations globally.

The Global Events Manager will be our first hire focused on the events space, with the potential to build and lead a team as the function develops.

Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing a comprehensive events strategy that supports our commercial objectives, enables us to engage with our target audiences, and generates results.
  • Supporting the commercial team to manage the events budget and forecast. Partnering with our finance team, and all internal stakeholders to ensure optimal delivery and efficiency
  • Engaging and managing suppliers to ensure optimal cost before, during and after each event.
  • Maintain and review the global events calendar, collaborating with teams across Ebury to forecast our future activity.
  • Ensure commercial leadership is informed and where appropriate, run event briefing kick-off meetings and post-event retrospectives with the commercial team.
  • Work with our content and design teams to brief any content and visual assets required for events.
  • Day to day management of events including being on-site where necessary for larger events
  • Proactively identifying growth opportunities and areas to improve our events strategy. Presenting these ideas to the management to get buy in and budget approval where necessary
  • Analytics and reporting. Working closely with our commercial team to set clear goals and KPIs for events, and reporting back to the management on progress.
Qualities we are looking for:
  • Are passionate about financial services and international business
  • Want to work in a high growth, fast paced environment, with autonomy to drive for success
  • Have a genuine passion for events and an understanding for how they drive commercial and brand growth
  • Are an extremely organised person able to deal with multiple cultures and personalities
  • Are numerically minded and able to show results through data
  • Experienced in CRM + marketing tools - Pardot, Salesforce etc
  • Have demonstrated experience leading events for a high-growth B2B company or startup
  • Enjoy collaborating with others and are driven by the success of your team
  • 3+ years experience as an Event Marketing Manager, comfortable leading and building teams
