We are now working with one of the top global private equity funds. They are now looking to add someone to their Portfolio Reporting and Valuations team.
The successful candidate will be operating at the Senior manager/ similar level in another fund or major accounting firm/ advisor.
Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Reporting and Valuations, you will join a global team which has central responsibility for the valuations process, portfolio reporting and verification and collection of portfolio company data.
In this role you will:
Oversee the entire end-to-end valuations process, from data collection to preparation of the quarterly valuation presentation for the board. The team will ensure robust and consistent methodologies across the portfolio, which are both commercially viable and in line with IPEV guidelines
Develop a strong operating understanding of each portfolio company and also a technical understanding of the valuation technique used, so to provide sound reasoning and rationale to third party advisers, auditors, the Valuations Committee and investors.
Oversee portfolio reporting matters for the investments that they cover. This includes preparation of performance analysis, internal reporting and ad hoc for audiences including investors and partners meetings.
Work very closely with management teams of the portfolio companies to on-board each of the companies onto their platform and ensure that the data requirements of the firm are met.
Continually improving efficiency and automation in both portfolio reporting and valuations, particularly through the use of technology. Collect the data from the portfolio companies, Regularly interact with external valuation advisors
Regularly interact with many teams across the firm, Portfolio Company Management, as well as with very senior stakeholders
They are very interested on meeting a professional who will have a background as follows:
Senior manager level with a transaction services, valuations or forensics background
Currently working in another private equity/ investment firm or major accounting firm or advisory
Excellent academic background
Strong technical and commercial skills and ability to build and maintain relationships globally.
ACA qualified
