  • Cass 6 & Cass 7 Experience

Job role

The Middle Office Analyst will perform daily tasks including the reconciliation and allocation of cash and stock breaks for both CASS and non-CASS clients. Additional tasks include the production of CASS 6 and CASS 7 recs.

The role will require an organised and methodical individual with excellent interpersonal skills who can assess and prioritise work deliverables, work quickly but accurately and has an excellent eye for detail.

Job responsibilities

• Broker cash and stock reconciliations.

• Allocation of breaks to the relevant Operational teams with the confidence to work with them and ensure breaks are resolved and cleared in a timely manner.

• CASS 6 / CASS 7 recs.

• CASS funding reporting.

• Monthly CMAR production and support.

• MI - weekly/monthly and when required.

• Break root cause analysis - understand the cause of breaks and work with ops/ IT to establish long term solutions.

• Challenge existing processes to improve them.

• Adhoc analysis and reporting.

Skills required

• Minimum 3 years previous reconciliations experience is essential.

• Knowledge and experience of CASS6, CASS7 and CMAR regulatory requirements

• Financial instrument knowledge including Corporate Action events.

• Strong Microsoft Excel experience with a strong understanding of formulas, pivot tables etc. Macros and VBA is desirable but not essential.

• Consistently maintain the expected performance standards.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, as part of an effective team as well as autonomously.

• Can build strong working relationships both internally and externally.

• Flexible, adaptable and the ability to respond effectively to changing business needs.

• Understand the 'big picture'. How does one break/process/issue impact other processes/teams?
