You'll be a member of a focused Portfolio Analysis and Control team providing support to Restructuring and Recoveries. You'll have a background in Credit Risk Analysis with a strong excel focus that will allow you to exploit the data while you develop your knowledge of Corporate Restructuring.
What your typical day looks like will depend on where you are in the year, so you will enjoy a varied workload with a change in focus at certain points. You'll enjoy exposure to teams across the bank including internal and external audit, other Risk teams, and Finance teams.
You'll also see a direct impact of your work supporting customers to make a positive impact on the business, helping the businesses - and the bank - prosper.
The difference you'll make.
Collating and submitting loan loss provisions calculated through individual assessment.
Reporting and analysis of key default and loss metrics across the Santander Corporate and Commercial Bank portfolio.
Providing analytical support in forecasting loss metrics relating to individually significant cases.
Supporting SOX and EUC compliance and audit reviews.
Deputising, and providing cover for the Senior Risk Manager, Portfolio Analysis and Control.
Acting as technical lead for Restructuring and Recoveries within relevant strategic projects.
What you'll bring.
Track record of successful delivery in a comparable analytical role using excel, preferably in credit risk management.
Ability to assimilate and challenge data, and derive conclusions in an environment of limited, conflicting and incomplete data.
It would also be nice for you to have.
Sound understanding of credit risk management concepts, including risk/reward principles, provisioning methodologies and risk governance processes.
Demonstrable understanding of the business and financial service industry, with commercial acumen.
Experience with SAS or equivalent.
Effective oral and written communication skills and an ability to build collaborative relationships across the business.

Based in the Milton Keynes office, you will have the flexibility to work from home in a hybrid pattern.
