Join us as a Recovery Planning Manager
What you'll do
As a Recovery Planning Manager, you'll be supporting senior management in delivering a fit-for-purpose recovery plan for the bank and its material legal entities. We'll look to you to help plan and deliver recovery planning processes globally across the bank, prepare materials for senior bank committees, and provide ongoing monitoring of our recovery level and associated recovery indicators.

The skills you'll need
We're looking for someone with an accounting, CFA or MBA qualification and experience in a treasury, risk, strategy or with finance background. With an analytical mindset, you'll have the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements, reflecting these in business design and translating them into clear implications for recovery plans.
You'll also have:
- You'll help to ensure we have strong recoverability , with a high quality recovery plan and bank-wide awareness of recovery planning and its importance
- We'll look to you to play a central role in compiling, maintaining and improving our recovery plan, working with an array of stakeholders at all levels of seniority across the bank
- You'll be part of a team that helps to protects customers and stakeholders by increasing our resilience and you'll be developing and maintaining effective capabilities to respond to threats
- It's a role of high importance, in which you'll benefit from excellent exposure to senior management and the opportunity to raise your profile across the bank
What you'll do
As a Recovery Planning Manager, you'll be supporting senior management in delivering a fit-for-purpose recovery plan for the bank and its material legal entities. We'll look to you to help plan and deliver recovery planning processes globally across the bank, prepare materials for senior bank committees, and provide ongoing monitoring of our recovery level and associated recovery indicators.
As well as this, you'll be:
- Developing, maintaining and coordinating a variety of stakeholders to support continuous improvement of recovery and restructuring options
- Making sure that changes in the bank's structure do not impair recoverability or impact on resolvability and meet current and future regulatory requirements
- Helping to develop, implement and maintain an effective governance framework for recovery planning and restructuring
- Encouraging continuous development in recovery planning and restructuring, drawing on input and best practice from related areas such as stress testing and scenario analysis
- Coordinating efforts across our functions and franchises in respect of specific recovery and restructuring activities and supporting the development of effective options
- Acting as an ambassador for the team, helping to educate other areas of the bank on the importance of demonstrating strong recovery capability
The skills you'll need
We're looking for someone with an accounting, CFA or MBA qualification and experience in a treasury, risk, strategy or with finance background. With an analytical mindset, you'll have the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements, reflecting these in business design and translating them into clear implications for recovery plans.
You'll also have:
- Good influencing and negotiating skills with a history of collaborating with stakeholders across the bank
- A proven ability to present to and engage with senior stakeholders, explaining complex concepts and documenting clear and coherent proposals and decisions
- Experience of identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- The ability to prepare for, present and contribute to committees
