Exciting opportunities exist within our diverse, challenging, and growing Santander Internal Audit team. As a member of the Internal Audit department, we want you to share our passion about adding value to our people, customers, communities, and stakeholders, providing robust independent assurance and challenge on the effectiveness of processes and controls across the bank and having exposure to senior stakeholders across our global organization.

The difference you'll make.
  • Leading and coordinating multiple assurance activities to assess the management and control of risk
  • Ensuring that all work undertaken meets agreed timescales and complies with quality requirements
  • Managing teams, providing coaching and support, and ensuring successful delivery of results through others
  • Building effective relationships, managing, and influencing key stakeholders across the business and collaborating with other teams as required
  • Taking ownership and coordinating additional activities related to the management of the Internal Audit department, including on-going business monitoring and production of required management information (MI) for Senior Management


What you'll bring.
  • Extensive experience in conduct and compliance
  • Retail and commercial banking experience


It would also be nice for you to have.
  • Extensive experience leading audits
  • Stakeholder and team management experience
  • Compliance professional qualification (e.g. CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance)
  • Experience applying Data Analytics to audit testing and continuous assurance


What else you need to know.

This is a permanent role with a hybrid working model where you will need to attend office 2-3 days a week.
