The firm team work remotely, with regular (weekly) in person sessions to develop and maintain their progressive culture and help to support personal development. Team members are trusted to take on responsibility, so there is no micromanagement. This will suit a software engineer who is happy working independently but, in a collaborative, team-based approach.
This role will involve working with in a small firm that is dedicated to delivering derivative pricing analytics via a web app. The client base consists of traders at leading hedge funds and investment banks. The firm have had success due to delivering accurate prices quicker than other systems, so it is important that their system runs quickly and accurately.
Whilst the majority of the firms stack is web based, for the analytics to be valuable, they need to be connected to their client's data sources. This role will be focused on ensuring that client data is ingested into the stack whilst providing a smooth user experience. Our client is looking to find an adaptable data focused software engineer who is comfortable managing across the whole software lifecycle. There should be good experience with windows-based technologies such as COM (Microsoft Component Object Model), Win32 Apis, OLE and developing Excel addins. As you will be needing to integrate different client systems, a broad knowledge and adaptable, problem-solving mindset is required.

Requirements:
- Strong Computer Science or Quantitative Academics
- 2 years plus experience with at least one of the following:
- COM (Microsoft Component Object Model)
- Win32 Apis
- OLE
- Developing Excel add-ins
- Genuine interest in working in a disruptive, entrepreneurial business with a clear mission.
- Experience with C++, Rust, Market Data Systems and/or Windows Packaging Systems will be advantageous.
- Collegiate, team based approach.
- Happy working and learning in a largely remote based work environment.
