Join our team in London, as a Credit Risk Manager and play an integral role in supporting the commodities desks in the Commodities & Global Markets division.

In this role, you will partner with businesses and risk management functions across the region to analyse and evaluate debt and equity transactions, structured physical commodities transactions and various financial risk management products.

As Credit Risk Manager, you will gain exposure to various energy sectors, including gas, power, environmental products, and waste & sustainability sectors. There will be opportunities to explore adjacent markets, as the role sits within the broader commodities focused credit team.

You will be responsible for all aspects of credit management and a diverse portfolio of European clients. You will be undertaking analysis and review due diligence on potential transactions. In addition, you will develop your industry knowledge, and forecast the likely impacts of changing market conditions on a transaction or counterparty. Your other responsibilities will involve preparing and reviewing counterparty and transaction analysis, set internal credit ratings and provide credit limit recommendations. You will also shape deal presentations and discussions with credit approvers and have responsibility for the ongoing monitoring of the counterparty portfolio. Engagement on strategic projects will also factor in this exciting role.

You will bring strong communication skills and provide concise and insightful credit recommendations. Your interpersonal skills will allow you to work effectively with various internal stakeholders and participate in client meetings. You will have the ability to identify and evaluate key risks on transactions and be familiar with financial/physical commodity products and understanding of related credit exposure. You will have the ability to work on transactions in a fast-paced capital markets/trading environment.

You will bring with you experience with energy markets or lending transactions and have strong organisational skills. Your ability to communicate effectively at all levels with risk colleagues, front office stakeholders and external clients are key to your success in this role.
