Meraki Talent is currently assisting a leading bank with their search for a Model Risk Manager. Based in the west end of London. In this position you will be in charge of leading a team and in doing so you will need to delegate tasks to work in a more efficient manner. The Model Risk Manager position covers the team members who start acting as model validation manager. To be able to cover a broader range of projects, they will need to delegate part of their review work to entry-level analysts and analyst team members by outlining the analysis to be pitched during the review and presenting the final deliverables in the summary of review.

- You will work with market risk models like (Var), incremental risk capital IRC and CRM (Comprehensive Risk Measure).
- You will work on the counterparty risk side on (PFE's), (EEPE) and CVA capital charge measures for different OTC listed derivatives.
- Work on the valuation risk front.
- Perform Independent reviews.
- Assess model limitations.
- You will Advise stakeholders about the level of model risk.
- Very strong Managerial skills and have the ability to communicate and speak/pitch in front of a board effectively.
- University degree in a Finance, Economics or Accounting field or similar such as Science, Mathematics or Technology
- Masters Or PHD highly desirable (Mathematics)
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, C# or R
- Previous experience working with pricing and exposure and calculation for non-linear financial instruments, such as swing or options.
- Ability to delegate some tasks to increase efficiency and to focus on higher value work.
- Good understanding of the regulatory requirements
- Risk Management qualification (I.e. FRM, ERP, or PRM) OR CFA, ACA or CPA would be very desirable.
- Strong Quantitative Background
- Managerial experience
- In depth knowledge of capital markets
