Treasury Director (Full-time, Part-Time, Job-share)

The Treasury Director will be responsible for the Bank's liquidity management and wholesale funding strategy, playing a critical role in relationships with Group ExCo as a member of the Asset and Liability Committee. With a department comprising of DCM, Treasury Markets and Liquidity Portfolio Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring Treasury operates within risk appetites for funding, liquidity, interest rate, market and credit risk
• Working with Balance Sheet Management Director and Savings Director to determine the funding requirement across all liability classes for deposits (retail and business), debt issuance and Capital Market activity
• Responsible for the liquidity management of the Bank, including heading the liquidity portfolio management strategy, to optimize its size and structure, ensuring compliance with regulatory rules.
• Responsible for management of interest rate risk, including the implementation of appropriate hedging strategies in conjunction with the Balance Sheet Management Director.
• Lead the Group's capital market activities and franchise, including institutional funding, overseeing relationships with institutional funders, debt investors and balancing institutional against other funding sources, including managing the Close Brothers relationships with its banks

• Significant experience in a retail bank Treasury, or similar
• Debt capital markets experience
