About our client

Our client, a leading mid-market private equity firm is looking for a Sustainability & ESG Associate/ Senior Associate to join it's high performing ESG team in the firm's London office. The firm is committed to using ESG to create more sustainable and profitable businesses and contribute significantly in the global transition to a low carbon economy. What the job involves

• Supporting the implementation of the firm's ESG approach and ESG performance reviews
• Assisting with ESG reviews of existing portfolio companies and defining key data and performance measurement
• Close engagement with deal teams and portfolio companies to ensure ESG implementation and value creation
• ESG advice and due diligence coordination for all new deals
• Supporting and leading multiple complex projects with different stakeholders
• Facilitating communication and reporting between various stakeholders and workstreams

Who we are looking for

• Corporate finance experience, preferably in Strategy Consulting or Investment Banking
• Experience in managing and executing operational ESG projects from an internal or consulting perspective
• Exposure to different sectors and industries, particularly through the ESG lens
• Expertise in engaging several different stakeholder groups
• ESG metrics, data analysis and reporting skills, including technical fluency to analyse financial, operational and ESG performance of companies
• Sustainability reporting, ESG due diligence and developing measurement frameworks
• Exposure to carbon foot-printing and implementing energy efficiencies
